The Twilight of Awakening

We are all in the process of awakening to our Higher Self. It starts with a sense of being, which is greater than your ego/mind can define or create. This expanded sense of being is fully present in the now and willing to experience what is now, without limitations. The Higher Self is fearless and engaged in all that life is offering, whether the ego/mind considers it good or bad. Everything is a part of our evolution and we are critical to all that is evolving around us. This view can be overwhelming at times.

As we are waking into our Higher Self we take it in small, manageable doses. The size of what we can accept depends on our familiarity and comfort with our Higher Self. I liken this to the twilight state as we move from our dreams to our awakened state. There is a struggle between what is real and what is not. In this twilight, it can feel like the dream is what is real, and we struggle with awakening. It is important to remember that each time we wake up we must be gentle with ourselves and just allow the dream to fade. We do this by committing to be fully present in this twilight and patient with the process of awakening. If we struggle the ego/mind will pull us back into the dream with the allure of total control. Being awake is to know that total control is only a dream.

Meditation and contemplation on what is real help us to move more efficiently through the twilight. Once we get the hang of it, this process of awakening becomes more fluid and lasts for greater lengths of time. Become more observant of the twilight and you will find yourself waking up more and more.
