How and Why We Resist Change and Transition

Our limited sense of ‘self’ resists change and transition, and in so doing restricts us from achieving our full potential. There are four major categories and causes of resistance:

· Fear, Depression, and Denial

A result of not believing in yourself. Change and transition help you to test and expand your capabilities and expand to the next level of self.

· Anger and Resentment

a result of not realizing and letting go of what no longer serves you.

· Resistance, Stubbornness, and Intolerance

a result of believing you are in control, in not accepting life as it is.

· Stress and Entropy

head in the sand syndrome, a result of not trusting your intuitive being and taking action.

Understanding and recognizing our ways of resisting change can help you to decide to let go and move with change, rather than resist it.
